So hey, what would you consider is the best for heartburn? Tums or Rolaids? Zantac? Pepsid AC? Generic versions of any of the above? Taking ALL of them, plus some pepto bismol, putting it in a blender, and making a smoothie?
Seriously. I have an insane fire in my stomach that I must quell daily with pills lest it devour me alive. Could use some tips here.
Pepto Bismol usually is enough for me.
ReplyDeleteRolaids all the way for me
ReplyDeleteBet that sucks, get well soon.
ReplyDeleteMy dad used to take a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar whenever he got heartburn. Worked for him usually.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea, have never had it :-(
ReplyDeleteThe apple cider can work, but if the taste of it upsets your tummy, you could be more uncomfortable for a while :)
ReplyDeleteI always found pepto, ginger, and sitting up for a while very comfortably curled on the couch reading or playing a game worked for me. The secret for me was to do a relaxing activity UPRIGHT. Not slouched over at the computer, not lying down, sitting properly upright. It helps things settle. That being said, I was on prescription meds for heartburn and reflux until I learned to relax and let my stresses melt away when they got too bad. Find your zen and embrace it.
(also, ice cream cures everything *grin*)
eat banana! lots and lots of banana
ReplyDeleteDONT MAKE THAT SMOOTHIE. It will waste your money.
ReplyDeleteMOTHERFUCKING BANANAS
ReplyDeletethey're awesome and cure heartburn/nausea
I heard vinegars help, something about the acid in them subsiding the acid production you're body is going through. But I'm not scientist, I saw that on some infomercial, so right there you have to be suspicious.
