It is HOT

It is so hot, I opened my freezer and it was full of boiling water.

It is so hot, I went to a farm and instead of animals the fields were full of jerky.

It is so hot, I went to take a piss but it came out as dust.

It is so hot, I went to drink some iced tea and it was a cup full of leaves.

It is so hot, when I farted it caught fire.

I have a feed

Since I have a lot of followers, (although at least half of you are friends from IRL and online, and the other half are friends of those friends) I decided to get a feed so you can follow my feed for updates.

http://feeds.feedburner.com/ABoatOfGravy

Check it out. You can subscribe to it using your favorite feed thing. Rss feed and whatnot.

Also, what the heck is mesothelioma and why do I get so many emails about the symptoms of mesothelioma or treatment for mesothelioma or information on mesothelioma? If I'm going to get spam emails, I'd like to at least know what the heck it is I'm getting them about.

Mesothelioma? Anyone?

Are you INSANE?

You know what show completely rocked?

Invader Zim completely rocked.

Barbeque

So hey. How does BBQ sound? It is a super awesome summer day where I am, I am thinking of grilling a smorgasbord. Like, one Oktoberfest sausage, one mini-steak, one mini-porkchop, one hot-dog, and two sliders (mini-burgers) which would in total work out to a slightly larger than average meal, but not overwhelming, and would have a delicious barbeque variety.

Also, of course, I plan on having a nice cold beer with this.

Sound like a delicious plan? I'm going to fire it up in 5 minutes regardless of any feedback, but this way I can make you folks hungry.

Look, don't touch.

You know the saying "Look, but don't touch?"
That should totally apply.

Found my friends

I'm glad I was able to find and follow so many of my online friends so soon after getting a blogger. You guys were right, this site is great, it's way better than livejournal. Thanks!

Ads

Ok, I've figured out how to do templates. What I need to do now, however, is remove that middle of the page ad that goes below my newest post, and JUST keep the ad that I can move around with the "design" page.

How can I do this?

Templates and ads

Does anybody know if I can change the template used for my blog now? If so, how?

Also is there a way to remove the ad that appears directly below my latest post, and just have the one ad that the design option let's me actually move around?

Any and all help is appreciated.

So hey

Do any of you folks who seem to be following this blog play Munchkin?

a "magic" day

So I just recently had a party where a couple dozen people came over to my new place, to play Magic. It was pretty fun, but you always have to hate that fag who uses nothing but proxies, super obscure cards that he's printed out himself, and pulling off some stuffy doll infinite damage lazer to immediately kill you.

That said, chain reaction is win when you're playing in a free for all with 12 other opponents. Just wipe the board and burn them.

Kill a cold

So hey, I mentioned earlier about posting a recipe for a cold-killing drink.

Here that is.

Get some ginger-lemon tea. Doesn't matter what brand, you could even make your own. It has to be a hot drink that contains ginger (the more the better) and lemon.
Mix some rum and some honey together. I find coconut rum works awesome. 1 shot of rum is fine, and however much honey you want.

Combine that with the tea. Like, if you want to soak the teabag (if you use 'em) in the rum and honey mixture while you boil your water, it infuses shit.

Drink it. Every day. Until your cold is gone.

Ginger is good for colds and shit, it helps push that out. Lemon or other citrus is high in vitamin c, which bolsters your immune system. Honey is a good all around thing, it even has antiseptic properties, plus it's pretty nutritious and gives you energy to fight back. Rum is good for it's antiseptic properties since it's alcohol. Not too strong, since you don't want to run yourself down, but just enough to help clean out some of the crud.

I can get a cold that has other people suffering for weeks, and be done it in 3 days with this.

Brand doesn't matter for any of the ingredients. Just use your favorites.

This does NOT work for stomach things. In fact, it'll likely come back up.

Want to know my awesome home cold remedy that involves rum and at least 5 other ingredients? You will need to stay tuned.

I should clarify

So this morning I was making some delicious pancakes. With chocolate chips AND blueberries in them. With a dash of cinnamon added to the batter.

So I have this apple-cider syrup, that's basically delicious apple-cinnamony goodness. I used that on my pancakes, and man that was delicious.

That's what I had for breakfast.

So hey

Motherfucking pancakes, with apple-cider syrup.

That shit's delicious!
